Perinatal
Supported through every trimester — including the fourth.
Pregnancy is a lot to ask of a body. We're here to make sure yours is supported through every part of it.
What perinatal chiropractic actually does
We help your body change well — not fight the change.
Your body changes faster during pregnancy than at almost any other point in your life. Your pelvis shifts, your ligaments loosen, your center of gravity moves, and your nervous system is working overtime to keep up with all of it. That's a lot of adaptation happening in a short window.
Perinatal chiropractic care supports that process instead of fighting it. We're not trying to stop your body from changing — we're helping it change well.
Where we focus
Care that adapts alongside you.
Pelvic alignment
A balanced pelvis gives your baby the room they need to move, grow, and get into the best position for birth.
Nervous system regulation
Less tension, better sleep, and a body that isn't burning through its resources just to get through the day.
Baby positioning
Through Webster Technique, we create the optimal pelvic environment for baby to settle head-down naturally.
Labor preparation
Women under regular chiropractic care during pregnancy report shorter labor times and fewer interventions.
Fourth-trimester recovery
Birth is physically demanding, and your body needs support after — not just during.
The Webster Technique
What it is — and what it isn't.
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment for pregnant women. It's most known for helping with breech presentations, but that's only part of what it does.
The technique analyzes and adjusts the sacrum and the soft-tissue structures of the pelvis. When those structures are balanced, the uterus has the space and support it needs to function without restriction. That matters for baby positioning, yes — and for how you feel throughout your pregnancy and how your body moves through labor.
Dr. Rai is Webster certified. It's a core part of how she cares for every pregnant patient, not just the ones with a specific concern.
What to expect
Gentle, specific, and surprisingly effective.
Prenatal adjustments are done with supportive positioning that keeps you and baby comfortable. The instrument-assisted tonal technique means there's no cracking or twisting involved.
First visit
45–90 minutes. We take the time to actually understand what's going on before we do anything.
Ongoing care
Subsequent visits are typically 10–30 minutes depending on where you are in your plan.
Fourth trimester
New-mom exam, birth review, Insight scans, plus two postpartum home visits before you ever come to the office.
The Fourth Trimester
Care doesn't stop when baby arrives.
The postpartum period is one of the most physically demanding of a woman's life — and one of the most underserved. Birth takes everything your body has, and recovery deserves just as much attention as the pregnancy that came before it.
Fourth-trimester care at SkyChi includes a new-mom exam with birth review, Insight scans, and a nursing and pelvic floor evaluation. It also includes two postpartum home visits built into your care before your first in-office exam — because getting out the door with a newborn is its own challenge.
